We look forward to welcoming you to the Evansville African American Museum! Whether you're visiting for the first time or returning to explore a new exhibit, here's everything you need to plan your visit.


Museum Hours

Wednesday–Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday–Tuesday: Closed

Please check our event calendar or contact the museum for holiday and special-event hours.


Admission

Guided Tour

  • Adults: $7

  • Children 12 and under: $5

  • EAAM Members: Free

Self-Guided Visit

  • Adults: $5

  • Children 12 and under: $3

  • EAAM Members: Free

Admission may be paid online or at the museum.

Parking

Free parking is available near the museum. Please follow posted parking signs when you arrive.

Groups & Tours

Planning a visit for a school group, organization, church, or other large group?  We offer group tours and encourage groups to contact the museum in advance so we can help plan your visit. 


For Kids & Families

The museum offers interactive experiences and activities designed to help younger visitors connect with African American history and culture. Ask our staff about what's available for children during your visit!


Shop the Museum

Don't forget to stop by the EAAM Gift Shop before you leave! We offer books, apparel, artwork, jewelry, souvenirs, and other items celebrating African American history and culture.
